The Century Foundation announced today that Janice Nittoli, President of the organization, has resigned from her position for health reasons.

Nittoli has led Century since August 2011. During her tenure, Nittoli has overseen a major overhaul of the organization. TCF added 16 fellows and four trustees, expanded its development efforts, sold its old office (significantly strengthening its endowment in the process), settling the organization into its new offices, and upgrading its web presence, corporate identity and communications plans.

We want to acknowledge the extraordinary contributions Janice has made to Century during her tenure,” said Bradley Abelow, Chair of The Century Foundation’s board of trustees. “We thank Janice for her contributions and we wish her and her family all the best. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.”

“I am very proud of the remarkable amount we accomplished together over 30 months,” said Nittoli. “I am deeply appreciative of everything each of my colleagues did to make that possible. It has been, as they say, an honor and a privilege.”

Nittoli’s last day with Century was April 16, 2014. A search for Nittoli’s successor will begin shortly. In the interim, Greg Anrig, Century’s vice president for policy and programs, and Philip Li, Century’s chief administrative officer, will oversee day-to-day operations.
