What role do charter schools play in public education? What role should they play? Richard D. Kahlenberg and Halley Potter of The Century Foundation will share research and stories from their new book, A Smarter Charter: Finding What Works for Charter Schools and Public Education, which traces the evolution of these publicly funded but privately run schools and calls for rethinking current approaches. Together with a panel of local educators and leaders, they will discuss how charter schools can best serve communities in Brooklyn and New York City.

Featuring
