The Century Foundation has long been interested in promoting a greater engagement in public affairs among young people. Learn more about our major activities in this area below.
Summer Intern Policy Lunches
Each summer, the Foundation's summer interns and staff convene a series of brown bag discussions about important policy issues at the Foundation's headquarters. Drawing capacity audiences comprised of students and interns living in New York City, these panel discussions offer students a chance to make connections with each other and get exposure to important individuals and ideas in progressive affairs. Learn more about past lunches by following the links below, and check www.tcf.org for information about each new series beginning in May.

Century Foundation Interns Program
Since 2004, The Century Foundation Interns Program has identified bright, outgoing students to intern at
progressive, non-profit organizations in New York City over the summer. The Century Foundation provides funding for each internship, and works with both selected organizations and intern candidates to ensure the best match. The organizations, all located within the five
boroughs of New York City, include social service, community service, public policy,
and advocacy groups, whose work benefits the people of New York City. Organizations which have received an intern through the program include: Citizens Union, United Neighborhood Houses, Citizen Joe, Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, Regional Plan Association, Urban Justice Center, Fiscal Policy Institute, White House Project, and the International Longevity Center.
Application information for the program will become available February.
